Applicants who hold Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) degrees, Doctor of Pharm, and others such as MSc in relevant fields may also apply. Holders of diploma and higher national diploma (HND) with considerable work experience in related fields will also be considered on case by case basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application procedure and closing date<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Apply online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucc.edu.gh\">www.ucc.edu.gh<\/a> by 30 November of the previous year for both local and international students.<\/li><li>Only a limited number of students will be accepted.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duration of programme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme extends over two years<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programme description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The programme consists of one year taught courses and another year of research. The subject of the project is determined in close liaison with your supervisor, preferably within the area of expertise of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology before you will be allowed to register for the programme. The initial research proposal is approved by a departmental research committee and the University of Cape Coast Institutional Review Board and\/or the relevant Research Ethics Committees. Progress of study is monitored continuously by the supervisor.
