Applications for prospective international students close on <strong>31 August<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only a limited number of students will be accepted.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duration of programme&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The programme extends over a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years. If you do not complete the programme successfully within four years, you have to obtain special permission from the Postgraduate Programme Committee of the Division of Medical Virology to continue with the programme.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The programme consists of a 100% research component. Students that did not graduate from Stellenbosch University for the previous degrees, will be expected to attend selected lecture blocks and complete selected assignments with the HonsBSc students during the first year of registration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The initial research proposal is approved by a divisional research committee and the applicable Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences if required. The subject of the project is determined in close liaison with your supervisor, preferably within the area of expertise of the Division of Medical Microbiology before you will be allowed to register for the programme. The initial research proposal is approved by a departmental research committee and the Health Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Progress with experimental work is monitored continuously by the supervisor.
